Same old story and in fact the same old players.
The only winners from this match were Germany, who deservedly won, yet again on English soil, with a much depleted squad and the FA, who trousered millions in gate receipts.
When will we ever learn, money is at the root of all that is bad and sad about the 'beautiful game'. Believe it or not, football is a team game which requires skill to play it at the highest level. Unfortunately the whole 'Team England' ethic is based around who you know rather than what a player is capable of. How sad is it when a 'retired' player is dragged (all be it willingly untill his 100th cap) halfway across the world to play? If only the manager/coach took a really good look at players available in this country instead of going on expensive 'jollies' to the US, he might actually start earning his money and reputation.
