Zitat
hehe I think he is not a cheater. Basically because it doesnt make sense to me. I know he is legitimatelly good and that he has had the skills to be a 2300+ placer for at least 2 years yet he never made the effort to hit the spotlight nor to get the recognition of other experts and never seemed to take any oportunity aoc offered to make some money seriously. I always had the impression his interest in the game was more on the side of self-challenge and time-killing. Question is: why would he try to accomplish by cheating what he could have been achieving legitimatelly for years? The answers that come to mind are that either I was totally wrong or the self challenge of try and seing wether he could make a fool of everyone and get away with it. I find none of them satisfactory so I am willing to belive you are missjudging the information.
The thing is, how can he find the boars then? It seemed unnatural to me but then I find his explanation quite satisfactory; basically what he says is that he scouts the border of the map at a fixed distance from the edges until he finds some tc evidence and then starts looking for the boar.
WHAT IS TC EVIDENCE? I call that the hints that allow you to know the TC is nearby, these are some of the ones I know:
- TC and a radious of 7-8 squares is always on ground level-0. That means you never see a tc or the farms close to i ton hills
- TC is always asociated to 1 of the 8 cardinal points of the map with a fixed random radius
- No relics/wolves/cliffs/wood in a fixed radious around tc
- fixed resorces at fixed distances: each player gets a fixed amount of resources: 3 straggler trees 4+2+2 sheeps 2pigs 1 patch of berries (6squares) 3 golds (7sq +4sq +4sq) 2 stone pits (4sq+3sq) and each of them at a fixed distance. I dont know the exact numbers but for example you know the initial 4 sheeps will never be closer than 6 squares from the tc and further than 12 or something like that. It is the same for each of them, the 7sq gold will never be closer than 8sq and further than 12 etc.
If you go scouting and find a tc evidence like a 4sq gold you will know you have entered the enemy tc area. You will usually have 2 basic cardinal points avaible to choose but checking the hills/cliffs/relics/wolves of the ground you have scouted might give you a hint about wich is the good one. With only that you have a basic aproximation of where the TC is and at what distance you are from it. With that information you can start exploring in the aproximate radius where pigs can be, and it only gets better as you find other tc hints to use as references.
WHY IS ALL THIS STUFF RELEVANT? because it can explain those secreenthosts better than map hack, I have drawed a couple of pics to illustrate this point, I will attach them to the post but i am not sure where they'll be displayed so you can check them now if you like. Basically you can see the same pattern in all the screens: start scouting at a fixed distance of the map edge until he finds pigs/tc evidence, and if it is the latest start scouting around where he gueses the tc is at what he thinks is the pig radious and the most relevant thing here is the fixed distance to the edge. In all the screens you can see he is scouting in circle at a fixed distance to the border of the map checking all the possible tc locations in the process, while if he is using map hack that is unnecesary and he can cut the distance going straight through the middle of the map to the right tc location. It is important because the scouting pattern can be seen in ALL the screenshots, and it is specially clear in the ones where the tc is far and he has to check 4-5 tc locations before getting to the right one. It could all be just to hide the fact that he is hacking but that seems like a heck lot of trouble to have all the theory worked out and executing it perfectly just to cover up something else, and you are alredy assuming he is turning mh on and off just in key moments of the game wich also seems like a lot of trouble to me.
It still involves a lot of luck because the pigs can be behind tc on the safest spot and you can be late to get them but all this games have in common that in all the ganes he was suscessfull stealing the pigs where in a favorable situation for his strat, thats something he cant control, and he got to them following a logic pattern whereas it would have stacked against him if the pigs had been in unfavorable locations and he had still gotten to them breaking his own patterns.
Thats all I get from the screenshots, I havent watched the games, I think buga mentioned he sometimes changed targets without logic, I havent checked it so I dont know about that stuff hehe.
About that other game, the one dreams used to ban him from voobly I think that's pretty much the result of the so called witch hunt. I mean some people say he only use reveal map because he cant detect enemy fws and stuff, in that very game he doesnt detect the fw and makes things like try to build a range right where qq is going with his army to wich makes no sense with all visible map hacking, and with reveal map only it is impossible to click on units standing on the fog wich is the accusation he is under so...
There is an explanation much more simple than he using reveal map map hack at that time and then switching it off or pretending he is not using it: 10.48 or something like that qq scout is atacking fulg scout. Action one the militia group attack qq scout. Action two scout run away dragging it towards the militia group. A lag spike (a lag spike in a spain-china... not unheard of =..= ) Action three order the straggler militia (or reclick the militia group) to attacks the scout. 2000 ms (the lag spike) later (3 secs in the game clock) the click is executed in the game and you see a misterious green circle appear in the fog.
The real map hack evidence is shown when you attack an unit or a building that is yet to be discovered. I wouldnt dare say this stuff is map hacking. If this is the best mh evidence we have been able to find after scanning fulgore games frantically then I think he is innocent.
