die cs 1.6 spieler werden aoe3 wohl nicht kaufen weil das aiming durch die hl2 engine etwas anders sein könnte

Ich weiss ja nicht was Du für Kontakte hast, aber bei meinen bin ich gescheitert ;-(
Die BETA-Phase für AoEIII scheint wirklich nicht für die Öffentlichkeit gedacht zu sein. Ich könnte mir Vorstellen, dass denen das bei AoM zu aufwändig/teuer war und evtl. nicht das gewünschte Ergebnis gebracht hat. Das ist jetzt allerdings eine Vermutung.

Zusammenfassung für alle, die sich nichr 44 Seiten hysterisches Geplapper durchlesen möchten. Ausserdem lassen sich alle "wird es Eichhörnchen im Editor geben?" Fragen ausblenden.

AoEIII-Heaven kann ich jedem der sich für Age3 interessiert nur empfehlen. Das Forum ist zwar unerträglich (Read! ottoman UU is misspelt! ES PLEASE FIX THIS!), aber die news sind wirklich gut (links zu allen guten reviews, neuen infos und ab und guten postings)

How many play-testers are currently play-testing the game and how many hours a day, days a week?

Mal ne Frage an die, die es schon gespielt haben. Ist die Heimatstadt an eine Zivilisation gebunden? D.h. wenn ich "Dutch" spiele und meine Stadt ausbaue, wähle ich dann für "Russen" eine neue Heimatstadt, die wieder bei 0 anfängt?

@ Banshee: Ich habs nicht gespielt, aber ja, das müsste so sein. Allerdings soll man sich für unterschiedliche Maps "Kartendecks" von angepassten Techs zusammenstellen können... also wenn ich Inseln spiele nehme ich mein Wasser-"Deck" mit den Schiffs-Techs, wenn ich den Yucatan-Klon spiele nehme ich das Deck mit den passenden Techs dafür, usw.

Wie denn? Beim Automatchup kommt doch wieder eine Map aus einem Mappool. Wie soll man da vorher wissen, welches "Deck" man nehmen soll?

was ich so mitbekommen habe soll man sich das deck dann wärend des spieles aussuchen ähnlich wie man sich die untergötter bei aom aussucht
wenn das erste age genauso langweilig wird wie in den vorhergehenden ES spielen wird das eh kein problem

ES hat mehrmals verraten, dass es im ersten Age schon lohnen wird zu kämpfen und dass man mehr zu tun hat als in den früheren Spielen (u.a. mit dem Entdecker diese Bonus-Ressourcen-Spots erobern).

ich finde die ersten 5-10min nicht unbedingt langweilig, sondern einen wichtigen bestandteil!
mich "richtigem" scouten kann man viel herausholen, die lage kann gut geprüft werden und man hat zeit, die angriff den verhältnissen angepasst vorzubereiten (also auch zu denken, statt nur zu agieren und reagieren)

Das Deck muss man erst im Spiel (wenn man das erste Shipment ordert) auswählen, also ich find das sehr gut erinnert mich an die selbts gebauten civs in EE das war auch lustig.

Wenn es vor dem Spiel so einen Auswahlschirm geben würde wo man, wenn die Karte bekannt ist sein deck zusammenstellen kann, fänd ich das auch klasse. Das wäre eine weitere strategische Komponente.
So wie es bei AoM war fand ich es dumm. Da man eh nicht wusste welche Karte kam brachte es einem auch nichts von einem Landgott auf einen Wassergott zu wechseln.

Aber man konnte in AoM dann entsprechende Untergötter nehmen, Oceanus bei den Atlantern, bei den Griechen gabs auch Untergötter mit Wasser-Mythunits etc.

Ich finde das mit diesen Decks klingt wirklich sehr interessant und lässt bestimmt viele verschiedene Spielstile und Strategien zu
